Tips for Preparing Water Balloons for a Pary

1.  Flush warm/hot water out of your hose.
If you live in Texas and keep your hose outside, you should consider running water through the hose until it feels cool.  If the hose is hot, you want to cool it off before filling the water balloons.

2. Fill a large bucket with water.
If you are filling a bucket with water balloons, fill it with water first so that the water balloons have some buoyancy instead of putting as much pressure on each other and popping.

3. Use Bunch O Balloons Self Sealing Water Balloons.
When we were kids, we used to tie water balloons. I think that is a thing of the past. Several years ago, ZURU released self sealing water balloons that make it possible to fill as many as 100 balloons in 60 seconds. This is not a typo!  You really are able to fill 100 balloons in as little as 60 seconds. You don't have to waste time tying water balloons.  It's so easy too. Let me share a few photos.

You attach a pod of balloons to the end of your hose.

You turn the water on to fill the balloons. We recommend doing this in a bucket of water for a couple of reasons. First, we want to avoid the weight of the balloons from popping each other. Second, it's easy to shake the end of the hose to let heavier balloons fall off into the water.

It takes less than a minute to fill up 100 balloons.

They have many different colors, so it's easy to match the water balloons to a party theme or to have different colors for teams.

4. Buy water balloons in different colors.
It is always fun to organize teams for water balloon games.  Buy water balloons in different colors for teams. The packs of ZURU Bunch O Balloons that we used include pods with three different colors!

5. Avoid storing filled water balloons in UV light.
Bunch O Balloons are convenient and easy to fill on the spot for a party.  I remember that old school water balloons took forever to tie, so we would prepare them in advance.  When you are able to fill 100 self sealing water balloons in 60 seconds, there isn't a need to start so far in advance. However, if you do, keep in mind that storing filled water balloons in UV light may cause any water balloons to pop.

I hope that these tips help! If you would like to learn more, visit ZURU here.
