Did you know that it is almost the 20th anniversary of our favorite character who lives in a pineapple under the sea?! Yes! In just a couple of weeks, SpongeBob SquarePants will official turn 20 years old. Nickelodeon will commemorate the 20th anniversary of SpongeBob SquarePants, which premiered on July 17, 1999, with what is being called the "Best Year Ever." SpongeBob's Big Birthday Blowout is set for July 12 and the Alpha Group is paving the way with a new line of toys. In today's post, I'll tell you about the special celebration and trendy SpongeBob SquarePants toys that your kids will love -- including iconic slime just like you would expect from Nickelodeon!
My son loves SpongeBob SquarePants. Something that you may not know about our family is that we typically limit screen time for our children to a maximum of two hours per week. This includes any screen - iPad, computer, or tv. We keep them pretty active and try to encourage lots of reading. However, when we travel, our children are allowed to watch cartoons in our hotel rooms until they fall asleep. The extra screen time and option to watch Nickelodeon is something that my children love.
