DIY Pumpkins Craft with Slammer's Pouches - A Halloween Class Party Craft or Trick-or-Treat Craft

DIY Pumpkins with Slammer's Pouches - A Halloween Class Party Craft or Trick-or-Treat Craft
In today's post, I'll share a fun DIY craft that converts a Slammer's pouch into a pumpkin. This is a fun craft to occupy children during a Halloween class party. It's also a fun idea if you plan to hand out special treats to kids on Halloween.  The skill level is easy.

Supplies
  • Slammer's Pouches (scale to the class size or the number of anticipated Trick-or-Treaters)
  • Orange Chunky Yarn
  • Brown Felt
  • Green Felt
  • Scissors
  • Not Glue Gun (for an adult to use only)

Directions
1. Tie the yarn to the lid.

2. Tie the yard around the pouch from top to bottom and back to the top again.

3. Wrap the yarn around the pouch horizontally under it covers the entire pouch.

4. Cut the green felt into leaves. Tuck the leaves into the yarn.

5. Cut the brown felt into pieces to create a pumpkin face and glue them to the yarn.

Optional Tip: We recommended chunky yarn as shown below because it seems easier for children to cover the pouch without gaps.

You'll also noticed that we used Slammer's superfood snacks. These are a staple for our children. They love the taste, but there are a few other reasons that we love them too. First, this brand uses high quality ingredients and many of the varieties are packed with protein and nutrients. The second reason is that the pouches are not messy, so it's easier for preschool teachers to give the kids a snack without a big mess such as cookies, cupcakes, or other foods that cause crumbs. (My son's preschool teachers have commented that they love how I always send low-mess snacks to school with him. They've also appreciated it when I sent them for the entire class.)  Finally, my children and their friends love Slammer's. They are quite popular with the preschool crowd.
