This post is not intended for anyone under the legal drinking age. Thank you to Castello del Poggio for providing the recipe and pairing suggestions.
Halloween is just around the corner, so I thought that it would be fun to share delicious ways to combine wine and candy during your haunted festivities. After all, you are never too old to enjoy Halloween candy and what better way to enjoy it than with wine?!
Recipe: ‘Spooky Pleasures’ & Swedish Fish
Ingredients:
Castello del Poggio Sweet Red (SRP: $12.99) & Pretzel M&Ms: The bright raspberry-violet with fruity notes of apricot and peach tastes best when chilled. Pair the Sweet Red with the saltiness of the pretzel M&Ms and you’re set for a delightful evening.
Castello del Poggio Sweet Rosé (SRP: $12.99) & Pink Starburst: Juicy and refreshing when chilled. Bright raspberry-violet in color, this vino frizzante is very fruity with notes of apricot and peach. Its full body, mineral notes, velvety tannin, and crisp, soft mouthfeel are highlighted when chilled, and paired with your favorite Starburst (should be pink but to each their own).
I hope that you enjoy these ideas during your upcoming Halloween festivities!
