Recipe: Birthday Party Popcorn

Recipe: Birthday Party Popcorn

Directions
  1. Pop the popcorn kernels in vegetable oil using a method of your choice. Personally, we added 1/2 cup of popcorn kernels and 3 Tablespoons of vegetable oil to a Whirly Pop which yielded approximately 3 cups of popcorn.
  2. Pour the popcorn into a single layer on parchment paper.
  3. Distribute the M&M's throughout the popcorn.
  4. Microwave the baking/melting chips for approximately 1 minute or until melted in a small ziploc bag. If they start to look like they are baking, add approximately 1/2 teaspoon of vegetable oil and mix into baking/melting chips.  Once they are melted, use sharp scissors to snip a corner off of one of the corners of the bag and then drizzle it over the popcorn.
  5. Add the sprinkles to the mixture.
  6. Allow to cool before putting into a serving bowl or bags.
