Back to School Snacks w/ Notes of Encouragement!

Slammers superfood snacks are a staple for our children. They love the taste, but there are a few other reasons that we love them too. First, this brand uses the best quality ingredients and many of the varieties are packed with protein and nutrients. The second reason is that the pouches are not messy, so it's super convenient for classrooms with young children. Finally, my children and their friends love Slammer's.

In today's post, I'll share a fun DIY project to tie happy notes onto Slammers so that children feel special when they find their snack at school. I customize the notes to whatever my child is going through at the moment. For instance, if my oldest son has a big exam, I'll wish him luck and sometimes put exam hints on the note. It's a fun way to give encouragement! Let me share the details for this project.

Project: Back to School Snacks with Notes of Encouragement!
Supplies

  • 4 boxes of Slammers Snacks
  • 1 pair of scissors
  • 1 pen
  • 1 spool of Ribbon
  • 4 sheets of large card stock paper
  • 16 post-it notes
  • 1 decorative hole puncher (or a plain hole puncher works too)

Directions
1. Cut the card stock into your desired size and optionally punch holes around the edges. Cut a colorful post-it note into a size that fits the center of your card. Write a motivational note. For instance, my son practiced his math problems with us, but kept making mistakes on the problems below. I wrote a note of encouragement and the problems that were helpful for him to reflect on.

2. Thread a piece of ribbon through the Slammers lide.

3. Tie the note to the lid.

This is such an easy project that puts a smile on little faces this school year!
