DIY Tips for Making Dried Dill
If you are in search of how to make dried dill, you are lucky that this is an easy project and that it only takes a few simple steps as shown below.
1. Grow fresh dill in your garden or in a small container.
2. Harvest the dill and wash it.
3. Tie it in small bundles and hang it upside down over a clean bowl.
4. Over the next 1 to 2 weeks, the dill will dry. Once it is fully dried out, simply crumble it into the bowl. (We toss the stems.)
5. Store in a glass air tight jar and the typical shelf life is approximately one year. We also put some into small freezer bags to gift it to friends.
Tip - Mix your dried dill into Greek yogurt with a dash of lemon for a delish Tzatziki sauce and pour it over carrots or other veggies.
