Check out this Sam's Club Membership Deal + I'm trying curbside pickup this weekend and will let you know how it goes!

I was chosen to be a Sam's Club Ambassador!

Sam's Club has an awesome deal right now. If you buy a membership (which is $45), you get a ton of free food. This includes a free rotisserie chicken, take & bake pizza, and 8 cupcakes! Get the coupon here.

I've been a member off-and-on for years. I used to go back and forth between Costco and Sam's Club, but Sam's Club won me over for the past few years.  I typically buy the same items every week. There are similar items and prices at both stores. However, Sam's Club comes ahead in my book for a few different reasons:

  • It's much, much easier to check out.  I love the self checkout.  The staff at our local Grapevine store are incredibly energetic as I have watched them wipe down every self checkout station as people leave.
  • On the other hand, my husband uses the app to scan items as he shops and pays through his phone. It's super quick and easy!
  • My husband is vegan; I am mostly vegetarian; and our children eat typical diets.  This means that we buy a lot of produce. Sam's Club produce is my favorite because they have good quality fruits and veggies that are fresh. They prices are excellent.
  • The prices are extremely competitive and I'm able to buy most of what I need for the week. (We also go to Trader Joe's for items that we want in smaller quantity such as fresh herbs, sweet potato gnocchi, and a few other specialty items that we pair with generous servings of veggies.)
This weekend, I plan to try the Sam's Club curbside pickup. Several friends have told me that I am crazy for not trying it yet.  The way that it works is that you place your order online, schedule a pickup time, park in a numbered spot, and they load the groceries into your trunk. It sounds easy-peasy! I'll let you all know how it goes!  In the meantime, if you want a Sam's Club membership, don't miss the deal that I mentioned above where you receive free items when you purchase your membership!  Personally, the free rotisserie chicken, take & bake pizza, and cupcakes will last for several meals at our house. I'll put slices of pizza in my son's lunch this week which will rock his world! The boys will enjoy the rotisserie chicken served with veggies at dinners. I'll also use some of the chicken to make  chicken quesadillas for them. (I mash black beans into the quesadillas for myself.)  Of course, the cupcakes will probably only last the weekend!

If you decide to join and find new favorite items, please message me through Facebook. I'm always excited to work new foods into our routine.  I know that the Member's Mark chicken sandwiches and waffle fries are rumored to taste just like Chick-fil-A. We haven't tried those yet, but they are on my list for a future week since I bet that my boys will love them with a side of steamed broccoli!
