Of course, now that I've gained more confidence over the past couple of months, I am also able to notice that this sewing machine has many advanced features such as options for different buttonhole stitches, embroidery, and more! In today's post, I'll tell you about this sewing machine and share some of my favorite projects - pillowcases, a patchwork pillow, and preschooler masks!
Singer is an iconic brand that has been loved by moms for generations. Every mom should have a good quality sewing machine when raising children because it is helpful for hemming pants, quick fixes, making special Halloween or theater costumes, and more. In 2020-2021, many moms used their Singer brand sewing machines to quickly make masks for their family members, friends, and people in need. It made me think about how sewing machines are great for families!
The Singer Quantum Stylist 9960 Sewing Machine and Presser Foot Kit Bundle is the ultimate sewing machine for moms this year because it is generously packed with features that make even beginners look like pros! Personally, I was new to using a sewing machine and was amazed that not only could I quickly fix some items for my boys, but I was even able to embroider items with their names. I sewed new pillow cases for my boys. I quickly made decorative pillows for our living room. I even made preschooler sized face masks. Even though I am a newbie when it comes to sewing, this sewing machine makes me look like a pro who pays meticulous attention to detail with the different stitches. The truth is that the experts at Singer deserve the credit because they designed this sewing machine to be user friendly and to do the hard work for me. I couldn't be more thrilled with this machine. Whether you are a seasoned pro who wants the latest and greatest sewing machine technology or a beginner who wants a machine that is user friendly, this machine is perfection!
To get started, I set up the sewing machine and printed some practice sewing sheets. If you search Pinterest, there are plenty of examples. This helped me to get used to the machine. After this, I repeated similar exercises on some old clothing items that my children had outgrown. It was good to practice with different types of fabric. Once I felt more confident, I figured that I should start with a relative easy project - a pillow case! We found cool Minecraft fabric to make a pillowcases for my son. I watched several Youtube tutorials that were straightforward. I then worked my magic with the Singer Quantum Stylist 9960 Sewing Machine and Presser Foot Kit Bundle. I couldn't believe it! The result was perfect! Honestly, I have to give the credit to the experts at Singer who have perfected their sewing machines over the years to the point that even beginners like me are able to do a good job!
My oldest son loved his pillowcase so much that my preschooler wanted one too. It was easy to make one for him too!
The next project was with my 6th grader. He wanted to create a patchwork pillow. This project took longer because we had to cut and assemble all of the squares. Again, we turned to YouTube to watch videos and then jumped right in! We were surprised that our pillow turned out exactly how we had planned! This sewing machine is so awesome that even our 6th grader could use it with me to make a nice pillow!
Once we gained more confidence, we decided to go for the Baby Yoda face mask for our preschooler. This project was awesome because our preschooler now has masks that he loves and wants to wear! (If you have a preschooler, you may have a similar issue like us where your little one doesn't want to wear a mask. After we made this mask, he was happy to wear it. Score!) To get started, we watched several YouTube videos about how to make preschooler face masks. There are so many great videos out there. We chose our favorite and got to work! It was pretty easy and the result was fabulous!
I love that this sewing machine was easy for a novice like me. I also love that there are many advanced features for more expert users such as embroidery, buttonhole patterns, and more! Learn more about this game changing sewing machine here.
