Approximate Time: 2 hours
Supplies:
- 50 to 60 crayons
- 1 4-pack of Building Bricks and Figures Silicone Candy Molds
1. Remove the wrappers from the crayons and break them into small pieces to fill each mold.
2. Place the molds and crayons directly in the sun until thoroughly melted. We are in Dallas and melted these on a day when the temperature reached 104-degrees and it took one hour.
3. Once the crayons have thoroughly melted, carefully bring the molds and melted crayons indoors to allow the crayons to cool. We waited approximately 1 hour.
4. Gently remove the crayons from the molds.
This is a great Back-to-School project for little ones because the trendy molds make it easy to create these popular LEGO shaped crayons. We created two batches for our son's class and they were extremely popular!
