As a Texan, tacos are a big part of my life! My family loves tacos. In honor of Taco Tuesday, I thought that I'd share a fun teen-friendly post of walking tacos that my kids love!
What is a walking taco? Walking tacos are a fun and convenient way to enjoy a taco in a portable bag of chips.
Here are ten different walking taco recipes you can try:
Classic Walking Taco:
- Ingredients:
- Ground beef or turkey
- Taco seasoning
- Lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese
- Sour cream, salsa
- Individual bags of Doritos or Fritos
- Instructions: Cook and season the ground meat with taco seasoning. Open the bags of chips, add the meat, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, and salsa.
- Ingredients:
Vegetarian Walking Taco:
- Ingredients:
- Black beans or refried beans
- Diced bell peppers, onions, corn
- Avocado slices, shredded lettuce
- Shredded cheese, salsa
- Individual bags of tortilla chips
- Instructions: Heat up the beans and mix with bell peppers, onions, and corn. Fill the chip bags with the bean mixture, top with avocado, lettuce, cheese, and salsa.

BBQ Chicken Walking Taco:

- Shredded BBQ chicken
- Coleslaw mix
